How It Works

Simple, effective tutoring

Maths with Elena Larxe is simple, student lead 1:1 tutoring. Sessions are 1 hour long, flexible from week to week and run on a pay as you go basis with the option to be tutored in person at my home in Tollerton, or, to learn remotely online.

In-Person

In-person learning can be preferable if you're local. We don't own any pets and have a private, quiet space to work in. This can be beneficial to those who might not have the capacity for online learning or simply prefer working face to face.

Online

Remote tutoring sessions can be just as effective, if not more, than working in-person. This allows you to be in an environment you're comfortable in with access to all your usual belongings and tools.

What You'll Need:

  • Access to a laptop or computer with a video camera and microphone
  • A distraction free environment
  • Paper, a pen / pencil, calculator and ruler
  • Mini whiteboard & pen (optional)

Accessing Resources

Google Classroom will be used for communications between the student and myself. Here is where resources will be posted and Google Meet will be used for video calls.

Payment

Payment is to be sent by bank transfer at the end of your pay as you go session. If you're interested in committing to a half or full term of lessons, a 10% discount will be offered. This allows for all parties to schedule in regular, at least once weekly, sessions that can be paid for in bulk at the start of the term or half term period.
